What are Kalms One-A-Night tablets?
Kalms One-A-Night tablets are a herbal remedy for sleepless nights or temporary insomnia. Each Kalms One-A-Night tablet contains 385mg of an active ingredient called valerian root extract. Valerian root is a natural ingredient which is traditionally used to help you fall asleep, and it’s a popular ingredient in herbal sleep remedies. It’s thought to ease your short-term insomnia by making you feel drowsy, helping you to drop off for a good night’s sleep.
 
Can I take herbal sleeping tablets when I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Kalms One-A-Night tablets are not recommended for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you’re struggling with insomnia during your pregnancy you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice. They will be able to recommend lifestyle changes that could help you to get some sleep and possibly suggest a suitable sleep aid if it’s absolutely necessary.
 
Can I take valerian root tablets if I’m taking other medications?
If you’re taking any other medication, including other herbal remedies or medications you obtained without a prescription, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Kalms One-A-Night valerian root tablets. This especially applies if you are already taking:
Other medicines to help you sleep. This product should not be used with other sleeping medications
Medicines to make you drowsy
 
Can I drive after taking these tablets?
Kalms One-A-Night tablets are a herbal sleep aid, so they’re designed to make you feel sleepy or drowsy. For this reason, you shouldn’t attempt to drive or use any tools or machinery after taking these tablets. If you do need to drive, wait until your drowsiness or any other symptoms which could affect your ability to drive have passed and you’re sure that you can do so safely.
 
Can I drink alcohol while I’m taking herbal sleeping tablets?
Alcohol can make the sedative effect of Kalms tablets worse. You shouldn’t drink alcohol while taking these tablets to avoid the increase in this symptom.
 
How to take these tablets
Take one Kalms One-A-Night tablet 30 – 60 minutes before you’re planning to go to bed. The effects of these tablets may not happen immediately, take them continuously for 2 – 4 weeks for best results. Do not take more tablets than you’re told to take by your doctor or pharmacist, or specified in the patient information leaflet included with this product.
 
When should this product not be used?
Kalms One-A-Night is not suitable for use in children under the age of 18. Do not use this product if you are allergic to valerian root or any of the other listed ingredients. If your symptoms do not improve after 4 weeks of use or get worse you should speak to your doctor right away.
 
Does Kalms One-A-Night have any side effects?
Like all medications, Kalms One-A-Night tablets can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These side effects include:

Abdominal cramps

How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place which is below 25 degrees C. Do not take this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
