There are lots of reasons why your filling may get broken or fall out. Other reasons why fillings get cracked and broken include eating hard or sticky foods, damage caused by an accident or injury, or grinding your teeth.

The Dentek Temparin Filling Repair Kit uses a filler solution to temporarily fill the gap left by your lost or broken filling. This helps to ease your pain instantly by covering the exposed nerves and other sensitive areas on the inside of your tooth until you can get to the dentist and have your filling replaced properly. It can also be used to hold broken crowns, caps, or inlays in place until your dentist can repair the area, perfect for temporary repairs and for keeping you smiling until you can get to your dentist.
Can I eat after using this product?
After using your Dentek Temparin Filling Repair Kit you should wait for 2 – 3 hours before eating or chewing. Although the filler will feel dry after just a couple of minutes, it will take up to 3 hours for it to set completely.
How to use this product for lost fillings
Before using this product, wash and dry your hands thoroughly. Wash the area you wish to treat thoroughly with warm water, but do not dry it. Remove a small amount of the Temparin filler from the vial using the spatula and use your fingers to roll it into a ball. Use the tool included to fill the cavity in your tooth with the filler, making sure to slightly overfill the tooth. Tap the filler into place with the applicator tool. Clench your teeth together and gently chew or grind your teeth together in the area with the replacement filling to make sure you can bite down comfortably. Use a moistened cotton bud to clean excess filler from your teeth and then wait for a few minutes for the filler to set. Avoid eating for 2 – 3 hours after application.
How to use this product for loose crowns, caps or inlays
Before using this product, wash and dry your hands thoroughly. Test your crown, cap or inlay to make sure you can fit it back onto your tooth properly before you apply the filling material, if it won’t fit back onto your tooth or if your tooth is cracked then don’t continue using this product. Be aware that Temparin may not stick to your crown if it has a post attached to it or if there is tooth surface remaining on the inside of the crown. Begin by rinsing the tooth area and your crown, cap, or inlay with warm water, but do not dry. Remove a small amount of the Temparin filler from the vial using the spatula and use your fingers to roll it into a ball. Push the ball of filler into the crown, cap, or inlay, making sure it’s applied evenly, and then place it back onto your tooth. Bite down to make sure the crown, cap, or inlay is firmly in place and in position. The filler will harden in a couple of minutes, but you should not eat for 2 – 3 hours after application. Use a toothbrush to clear away any excess filler from your teeth.
When should this product not be used?
Do not use the Dentek Temparin Filling Repair Kit if you are allergic to eugenol or any of the other listed ingredients. If you experience any irritation while using this product, stop use right away. If irritation persists, speak to your doctor, dentist, or pharmacist. Do not use this product if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms in the area you plan to treat: Throbbing pain Ulceration Swelling Open wounds
How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place. Do not get any unused product wet. Do not use this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
