How can Buttercup Syrup help to relieve a cough?
The active ingredients in Buttercup Syrup are Squill liquid extract and capsicum tincture which work together to ease symptoms of the common cold and provide relief from tickly or chesty coughs. Squill is a plant which helps to loosen mucus which makes it easier to cough up and capsicum tincture provides a warming sensation which can help to soothe an irritated throat. The syrup formula helps to coat the throat, to provide relief from coughing and prevent tickly sensations that can induce coughing.Â

How to use Buttercup Cough Syrup
This product is for oral use only. Shake the bottle well before use.

Dosage
For adults, the elderly and children over the age of 12 years: 2 x 5ml spoonfuls 3 times a day and at bedtime if the cough is troublesome.Â

Warnings
Do NOT exceed the stated dose.Â
Do NOT use this product for longer than 7 days.

When NOT to use this product
Do NOT take Buttercup Cough Syrup if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (see ingredients tab for full list) or if you:
Are under the age of 12
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Are taking any medicines that are known to interact with alcohol
This product contains alcohol so may impair ability to drive or operate machinery – do NOT drive or use machinery if affected by this medicine.

This medicine contains sugars and alcohol. Seek advice from your doctor if you have an intolerance to some sugars, are/have suffered from alcoholism, epilepsy or liver disease.Â
