What is Strepsils Soothing Throat Spray?
Strepsils Soothing Throat Spray is a quick and convenient sore throat treatment. It can help with irritating scratchy throats and tickly coughs and the convenient spray formula means you can treat your sore throat wherever you are- just spray and go!
What causes a sore throat?
Sore throats are usually caused by viruses such as cold and flu. Symptoms include:
A painful throat, especially when swallowing.
A dry, scratchy throat.
Redness in the back of the mouth.
Bad breath.
A mild cough.
Swollen neck glands.
Other causes of sore throat include:
Laryngitis
Tonsilitis
Strep throat (a bacterial throat infection)
Glandular fever

How Can Strepsils Throat Spray help to soothe a sore throat?
This product contains Polysac-Active™ which is a unique ingredient to Strepsils and contains honey to help soothe a sore throat and tickly cough. Honey has been traditionally used for sore throats for years, as it’s thought to have soothing, anti-inflammatory properties which may help to ease sore throats.
Using this product with other medications.
Strepsils Throat Spray is currently not known to interact with any medications. Always seek medical advice from your doctor or a Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this product if you’re taking other medication.
How to use Strepsils Spray.
Read the instructions included with this product before use. Shake the bottle well. Use the nozzle on top of the bottle to spray directly towards the back of the throat. Spray 2-3 times every 3 hours or as required.
When should this product NOT be used?
Strepsils Soothing Throat Spray is not suitable for use by children under the age of 3. This product should only be administered to children by an adult. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients (see ingredients tab for full list). This product is for use in the mouth and throat only. Avoid contact eyes or other sensitive areas. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have diabetes, seek advice from your GP or a Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this spray.
Do NOT use this spray if you have:
A cough which has lasted for longer than 3 weeks.
Chronic bronchitis.
Asthma.
Emphysema.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Large amounts of mucus produced with your cough.
A persistent cough caused by heartburn or stomach complaints.

Storage.
Store in a cool, dry place. Do not use this product if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Once opened, use within 6 months. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
