Dong quai (Angelica sinsensis) is native to China, Korea, and Japan, thriving in cold and damp high-altitude environments. It ranks among the most popular botanicals in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for female-specific general health, while ginseng remains the traditional tonic for male wellbeing. A member of the celery family, its roots are rich in compounds with diverse health benefits.
Ligustilide and ferulic acid stand out among the mosaic of compounds in dong quai that research credits for its health benefits. These biologically active, organic compounds are available in synthetic form; however, centuries of use in TCM lean towards the safety and efficacy of these compounds and other constituents in their naturally occurring ratios in dong quai.

Directions of use:
Adults: Take 9 capsules daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet light (UV), or UV therapy.
Duration of use:Consult a health-care practitioner for use beyond 6 months.

Dong quai (Angelica sinensis) root
500 mg
Other ingredients: Vegetable magnesium stearate in a non-GMO vegetable capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.
Warning:
Contains no: Gluten, soy, wheat, corn, eggs, dairy, yeast, citrus, preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, starch, or sugar.
Cautions and warnings: Discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner if menstruation is delayed or absent, or if you experience increased menstrual bleeding time. Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you are breast-feeding; if you are taking birth-control pills; if you are taking anticoagulants or blood thinners; if you are taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT); or if you have family history of cancer.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant; if you have allergy/hypersensitivity to members of the Apiaceae/Umbelliferae family (anise, caraway, carrot, celery, dill, parsley); if you have diarrhea or hemorrhagic diseases; or if you have hypermenorrhea/profuse menstrual flow/heavy periods.
Known adverse reactions: Discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner if you experience breast pain, discomfort, and/or tenderness.
